Fronda in TNOC Festival 2024

We are very happy to announce that we are going to participate in the next The Nature of Cities Festival (TNOC) 2024 virtually on April 15, 05:00 EDT.

A global community of urban thinkers and change agents participates in the Festival to build cities that are better for nature and all people by combining art, science and urban practice.

The virtual segment includes talks, workshops, art, films, field trips, opportunities to make social connections and more. All of this takes place online over 10 days in multiple languages and time zones around the world.

At Fronda we designed a virtual field trip in the town of Pilar, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, under the motto: The wetland as a web of life: urban expansion and challenges for its conservation.

The objective is to make visible the fundamental role that wetlands play in cities, from their aesthetic and recreational value, as well as their capacity to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change, enhance biodiversity and cushion the risks of flooding.

The tour proposes a trip from the city of Pilar, going from the busy downtown area to the charm of the wetlands in the suburbs to end in the Natural Reserve, which protects these ecosystems threatened by the advance of urbanization. There you will be able to appreciate the diversity of species and immerse yourself in the colors and sounds of this corner of the planet.

We invite you to register and participate in this beautiful meeting!
